A medieval village … in the sea: Étretat

Of all the villages along the coast Alabaster (Côte d ‘Albâtre) in Upper Normandy of France, Étretat has the greatest reputation as one of the finest villages in the area. A medieval settlement almost in the sea as the houses literally lick the coast. The village has some beautiful old buildings, dating from the Middle Ages, which are famous for their architecture, and is considered as one of the finest beach resorts.
